Escape to the hills for a fun-filled family adventure. Spend two nights in Khao Yai exploring the natural rugged beauty of this UNESCO-listed National Park. See wild animals gathered around watering holes, swim in majestic waterfalls and enjoy the fresh, clean mountain air.  

 

 

Bangkok – Khao Yai (180 km): 2.30 hr

 

Depart in the morning from Bangkok for the drive north to Khao Yai. En route, stop at Farm Chokchai (Closed on Mondays), the famous farm camp in the region. A fun attraction for families with young kids!

After the morning visit, drive for lunch at The Chocolate Factory Restaurant.

After lunch, head with the family to the art museum at Khao Yai. If the day falls on the weekend, pay a visit to the Pete Maze, a vibrant green labyrinth where finding one’s way out is an interactive challenge.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: BAT CAVE EXPERIENCE

In the late afternoon, drive to the open rice fields surrounded by lush mountain, where it’s possible to experience the phenomenon of millions of bats flying out of the caves over the paddy fields.

Overnight at Khao Yai.

After a breakfast at the resort, drive into the National Park. Stop and start a 3km walk through the forest to Nong Phug She Tower, which is located near Nong Phug Shee pond, the main water source for many kinds of animal. Here there is a good chance of seeing elephants and other wild animals. Continue to Haew Suwat Waterfalls, made famous when they were used as a site location for filming the movie “The Beach”.

Return to the hotel after lunch. Free afternoon at leisure.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Visit to Thongsomboon Club

A large adventure park, Thongsomboon Club is located in the middle of the beautiful Thai countryside with mountain peaks rising the distance. The club offers a wide range of fun activities for adults and kids alike, from ATV rides, a ski lift, downhill rolls, and much more. (Pay on site)

Khao Yai – Bangkok (180 km): 2.30 hr

 

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and head towards Klang Dong Art Floating Market, located in Pak Chong District. Here, discover colorful folk art and the charming ambience created by European and Thai style boats.

Lunch at the market.

Return to Bangkok after lunch.
